Years

Literally years have passed between entries, but I kind of enjoy looking back on the things I was thinking and doing at the time. I think I might start it up again, even if it is just a way for me to make sure I don't forget half the things that happen in my life. I tend to get a bit of selective amnesia after exams- so it's not uncommon to lose some of the fun times amongst the stress, or to lose the really sad/hard/dark moments when looking back. I tend to remember everything as if it was peaches and roses, even when it was fairly shit. Anyway, hopefully I will get typing a bit more in the future. :)

Inspirational.

In 1967, Kathrine Switzer was the first woman to run the Boston marathon. After realizing that a woman was running, race organizer Jock Semple went after Switzer shouting, “Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers.” However, Switzer’s boyfriend and other male runners provided a protective shield during the entire marathon. The photographs taken of the incident made world headlines, and Kathrine later won the NYC marathon with a time of 3:07:29

Read her account of the race here.

Beautiful.

I've got an exam in a couple of hours, so I'm meant to be revising but one of the girls linked me to this video and it made my day. Aren't they beautiful!
Holidays and placement in a couple of weeks so I will update more about what I've been up to when I get some spare time.
Also, randomly booked flights to Melbourne next week so if you are down there and want to catch up just send me a facebook message because I have a new number and was too lazy to transfer my contacts when I got it :P.
Have a good morning!

Newfangle

New´fan`gle.
1. Eager for novelties; desirous of changing.

Over the last few weeks I was lucky enough to have been involved in the production of this incredibly cool short film. The girls who made it were absolutely fantastic, and I absolutely loved being a part of it. The music is by the beautiful and talented Elle Graham.

You can find out more about the production and see some more photos here.

Wanderlust.

You can always make more money, take up a job and pay back your debt. You can spend all the time you want catching up on work you missed. What you can't do, though, is turn back time and take up the opportunities that you let slip by the first time. It's one of my biggest fears, putting something off until 'later' only to never come back to it. If you want something, and there is any way in hell you can get it, then go for it, fight for it. You're never going to get to the end of your life and wish you had taken fewer chances, had pursued fewer dreams and had less adventures to look back on.
