I checked back to that website this morning and people had posted a few comments on the look. I'm being totally vain right now but whatever. I thought I was going to get absolutely shut down but people were really nice, and seemed to like what I wore. It's crazy how they assume that the look has been 'put together' with a lot of thought, when really the only reason I wore those two together is because my other jacket was red. No high tech styling genius is hiding away in my brain. I spent that whole last week just wearing whatever wasn't dirty, and when that ran out, I wore whatever smelt the least bad. Hahaha. Yay for hygiene. Anyway, here are a couple of them, I couldn't print screen them all so I got the most recent. Somehow i don't think Jack is into fashion. Creepy motherflipper.
Oh so last night, funniest thing ever. Arty is on this new health kick where he is doing a bazillion sit ups every night and trying to eat healthy. We were all sitting watching tv together, a rare occasion in itself, and he was doing sit ups on the floor. I looked away for a second and when I looked back he and Mum had started there own little strongman/woman competition. It started with sit ups, then clap pushups and dips but fast forward 20 minutes (yes, 20 minutes) and Arty is in a headstand against the wall doing pushups and Mum is heckling him from the couch. He then gets up and holds Mum like she's a little kid and starts throwing her up and down in the air, funniest thing ever. We were all crying we were laughing so hard. Then he puts her over his shoulder and starts doing squats. Takes the term "Home gym" to a whole new level.

Nineteen.
So as most of you know, I spent my birthday in New York. I was walking along the street at about 4 in the afternoon and this lady comes up to me and says "Excuse me.." I thought she was asking for directions or something (not that I would have any clue where to point her) but she said she was from a street style blog and wanted to know if she could take my picture for the website. I thought I was going to die on the spot. Rewind back about half an hour and I'm at the apartment taking off my make-up and rationalising that even though my hair is oily as all hell, I can probably get away with it for the afternoon. I check the clock and decide that I can fit in a quick dash to Wholefoods (see: best store ever.) to grab an afternoon snack because even though Chase bought me 4 super cute cupcakes, it's my birthday and I'll have 5 lunches if I want to...
So here I am standing on the street looking legitimately homeless, and having just stuffed my face full of food and this chick has decided she likes my jacket. Fuuuu-
I mean, it's flattering that she liked it and all, but seriously the timing was shitballs. Plus it was about to storm like crazy so I was nearly being blown onto the road while she was taking pictures. Oh well. I'm going to try and not be too critical of myself and post the interview thing here, because it is one of those things that will most likely never happen again. Peace.

The project.
So right now I'm sitting on the floor in my room, drinking chai and surrounded by incense.
I feel like I'm home now.
Beside me on the floor are 5 golden envelopes, the beginning of my project..
I'm sending them out within the hour, and I couldn't be more excited.
I feel like Willy Wonka.

I found these today.
I drew them before I went away, in a brief moment of creativity. I was pretty proud when I did them, but now that I look at them they seem pretty terrible. Haha.
Im starting work on a special project today. I am so excited about it. I will let you know more about it when they're finished, because my project might even involve you! Oh i can't wait, it's going tobe sweet, just you wait and see :)

Home!
I can't even begin to explain how good it is to be home. As much as I loved being away, I really missed my Mum and my family, I missed the ocean and I missed just being somewhere familiar. I feel super bad for not updating my blog while I was away, but I just didn't have enough time at all. I kept a journal though, which I wrote in (almost) every day so I am kind of thinking that I will type up some exerpts from that so that you can get the full experience of what my trip was like. I have heaps of photos to put up, and I bought film for my Holga while I was over there so I am hugely excited to see how they turn out, and I will put them up if they are not complete failures haha. Anyway, I also bought this sweet little handheld video camera, it's HD and waterproof with a shitload of memory space so you should be looking forward to all the videos I am going to post about random things that happen in Ballina. I only started filming stuff on the plane flight from New York to L.A, because the people just asked for it. I was sitting next to this Sri Lankan man who was just so freaking awkward and up himself. Our conversations went like this;
There was a lady sitting opposite me too, across the aisle, who was making me laugh so much. She wore this hat the whole way-the whole 6 hours- which was like an acoubra hat, one you would find in the outback on some cowboy. I would not have been surprised if she had had corks swinging from the brim. When we took off and when we landed, she put her head between her knees and put the blanket completely over her whole body so she looked like a giant blue marshmallow. The funniest thing was the fact that it took almost 20 minutes for her to actually get into that position. It made me laugh.
Haha Louis just came running out of the lounge room yelling "Char! Char! You have to see this!" He was so excited and had this massive grin on his face. "What?"I turn around and look at him and he goes "Watch this..." He opens up his mouth really wide, and starts whacking himself on the head with his fist... Oh it is good to be home.

Him: So....um, how did you like New york?
Me: Yeah. It was really great.
(Please note I was really not in the mood to make small talk, and I was in the middle of watching a movie and kept having to take off my earphones every time he said something.)
Him: Yeah I liked it too, but I was only there for 4 days because I'm on a business trip at the momentand we are traveling all over the world.
Me: Cool.
Him: Yeah it is, and the best part is that we get it all paid for by the company, I am an executive at Myer. So i get the companies credit card and away we go!
Me: Huh. That sounds alright.
Him: So were are you from?
Me: Australia
Him: Nice, I'm from Sri Lanka. Have you ever been there?
Me: No, but I will one day, my grandpa was from Sri Lanka.
Him:(looking confused) Oh so, he was born in Australia but lived there?
Me: No, he was born in Sri Lanka and moved to Australia when he was 17.
Him: (So confused that his eyebrows were almost touching his knees.) Your grandfather?
Me: OH MY GOD YOU CAN'T JUST ASK SOMEONE WHY THEY'RE WHITE!
Haha. I wish. In reality, I just said "yep" and put the headphones back on. We still had 4 hours to go. I was not making it even more awkward than it already was.
